Harry`s Place in Colchester

Just like everything else. Not like the old days. You sit in your car and these adorable young workers run out to your car with your order. Didn't feel like Harry's Place. But what feels right these days? I hope people were tipping these hard working kids.

This place was established 100 years ago, and it's easy to see why they're still in business. The food was fantastic, and the service was spectacular. There was a bit of a wait, as many people were eating there when I visited. Totally worth it. The way they toast their hot dog buns was incredible. My only quell is that its so far away from me that it'll be a while until I can go back.

This is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat on a warm summer night. Decent prices, service was fast and friendly, got our order in just about ten minutes, and the food was incredible. Ordered the stacker bacon cheese burger and chili along with a cookie dough milkshake. Everything we got was cooked perfectly and delicious. The hand pressed burgers are the highlight of our dinner here, coming out with plenty of juiciness and flavor.If you're local to the area or just on a road trip like we were, make this a stop on your way and you won't be disappointed.

The place and staff are nice and appropriate. . However, just not a fan. The burger and hot dog I ordered were disproportionate to the buns they use. It made the burger look more like a slider, and the hot dog was buried into the roll. The burger and hot dog were just ok at best. I'm not sure what the magic about the place is. I'll stick to my steamed cheeseburgers from Ted's in Meriden, Connecticut.

Wow is this place great. Awesome food with giant servings. Really great burgers. Meat is ground fresh by a local market and is truly delicious and unique. Busy place and it's so worth the wait to get hot yummy good eats.

Efficient and quick. Was busy when my family and I went but the staff was kind and recovered from the rush nicely.

Good food. No place to eat. Had to drive distance to walking trail parking lot on way back to Manchester. A little more expensive than I expected. Menu board too far from car and printing too small to read. Order and delivery process to car good. Very busy place.

Tonight was my first time back at Harry's after easily 40 years. The moment we approached it, my heart immediately filled to the brim! I enjoyed many special family nights on my way home from the beach, as a child. It has a certain warmth that not many can attain and has somehow managed to keep for 99 years! It is good solid fare, consistent with my memories so long ago...tasty, filling, reasonably priced, unassuming yet a landmark known to many. I'll be back on a regular basis now that I've been reminded of how much I loved it then - and clearly still do!!

Under new owners? Perhaps CoVid challenges. Food just wasn't the same. People were kind and helpful but the food.

I have been eating here every summer since I was a kid. Even though I live about an hour away I always make the trip to eat at this fantastic restaurant. The food is delicious and the employees are so caring and wonderful
